Built by people who were on the frontlines of e-commerce and retail innovation. Still building the future of commerce, eight years later.
Practitioners, not pitch decks — that difference shows up in every part of the product.
The founding story.
LiSA started in Düsseldorf in 2018. The bet was simple: social commerce was going to be how we shop online in the future — and someone needed to build the infrastructure for that.
Eight years later, that bet has compounded. LiSA now powers shoppable live, video and story experiences for enterprise brands across Europe, the UK and North America — and is building toward a fully autonomous social commerce operating system.
Social commerce was never about selling more. It was always about buying better and enjoying it.
In 2020, shortly after founding LiSA, we did our first major press interview — for the Guardian. Standing in a parking lot after a funeral, phone in hand, Sophie was asked how it felt to have built something designed to fuel mass consumption.
We had the perfect answer, because we'd already seen the opposite happen.
Before LiSA, we tried building a D2C kids' fashion brand. It didn't work — but we learned something that did: live shopping. We were hosting FaceTime sessions from our store, curating outfits live for customers around the world. Average order values were up to 4x higher than our standard online store. Returns dropped below 10%.
That wasn't a fluke. When people can see a product in action, ask questions, and get real validation from a community — not just a star rating — they make better decisions. Fewer returns. Higher satisfaction. Real trust.
That's the thesis LiSA is built on: social commerce isn't about more consumption, it's about better decisions — for shoppers and for brands. Today, that means building the infrastructure and intelligence layer that makes those better decisions happen automatically, at scale: a social commerce operating system that doesn't just sell, but understands.

Guess what LiSA actually stands for.
